In Q1 2024, the top dining and restaurant apps in South Africa exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users on a unified platform. The performance data, sourced from Sensor Tower, highlights the popularity and engagement of these applications.

McDonald’s - Non-US started the quarter with strong download numbers, peaking at 39K in the week of February 12. However, downloads gradually decreased towards the end of the quarter, with 20.6K in the final week of March. Active users showed a similar trend, starting at approximately 124K in early January, peaking at 135.8K in mid-February, and ending at around 114K.

KFC South Africa also experienced significant user engagement. Downloads peaked at 32.6K in the week of February 12, while active users reached their highest point at 256.9K in late January. The app maintained a solid user base throughout the quarter, closing March with 21.2K downloads and 212.1K active users.
